Matthew P. Taylor, UU Seminarian and Pagan High Priest
Rachel Daniels, Worship Associate
What happens when you feel you have lost everything? What do you do when you feel your own government doesn’t care whether you live or die? What do you do when you think that there is no more justice left in the world? Mathew Taylor fondly and prophetically calls 2017 the year of the Phoenix — a year of destruction and endings. 2018 is a year of hope, a time for rebirth and reclaiming of your own personal power. The year has just begun, and there is so much hope and potential at our fingertips. Join us this Sunday as we look at the ending of a cycle and the Hope of a new one.
Mathew P. Taylor is a Southern California Native. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a Mass Communication emphasis. He is a community organizer, UU seminarian, Pagan High Priest, Author, and Ceremony Celebrant. He has over 15 years’ experience in community organizing and pagan ministry leadership. He is a student at Claremont School of Theology and will be seeking ordination in the Unitarian Universalist Faith Tradition. He is Board President for the Universalist Unitarian Church of Riverside. Mathew is a member of the Nominating Committee of the UUA Pacific Southwest District (PSWD) and, last but not least, he is the Organizer of the Open Circle meet up group and Gwendolyn’s Cupboard. Mathew believes that his ministry is meant to help give a voice to the voiceless and to help find a home for the spiritually homeless.
